Holiday Parties Soon To Be A Thing Of The Past?

Chicago, IL (WFN) -- For many employees, the annual Christmas party is an annual trip to hell on earth.

According to business trend expert John Challenger, holiday parties create more stress than fun for many workers because of the potential for lewd jokes and unwanted sexual advances from co-workers who've tipped back too much egg nog.

He says many workers would prefer a day off or a bigger bonus check instead of having to sit through the "manufactured frivolity" of an office party.

In addition, Challenger says the large amounts of liquor usually served at office Christmas parties put the company at risk for lawsuits stemming from drunken accidents, altercations or sexual harassment charges.

For those reasons, he believes the booze-filled office revelry may soon become a thing of the past.
