Paul Mccartney Paints!

New York, NY (WFN) -- Paul McCartney is going from pop music to pop art.

An exhibition of the former Beatle's paintings will go on display in New York City on Friday (Nov. 3).

The Matthew Marks gallery will show 25 original paintings by McCartney and sell copies of three lithographs.

A gallery spokesman says one of the lithographs, titled "Ancient Connection," depicts three faces, one of which McCartney admits bears a striking resemblance to Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts.

The other two pieces for sale are "Big Mountain Face," which depicts a Mt. Rushmore-like peak; and "Egypt Station," which shows hieroglyphic-style sunflowers, dogs and cedar trees.
