Common Uses of Zofran This medicine is an antiemetic used to prevent nausea and vomiting. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Possible Zofran Side Effects Side effects that may go away during treatment, include headache, constipation, stomach pain, or weakness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
General Cautions To prevent or reduce the possibility of nausea or vomiting, continue taking this medicine for the entire time recommended by your doctor even if you do not notice any nausea. If you continue to experience moderate to severe nausea or vomiting while using this medicine, check with your doctor. If you experience difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips; or if you develop a rash or hives, tell your doctor immediately. Do not take any more doses of this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so.For Women: it is unknown if this medicine is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
