Common Uses of Tagamet This medicine is a histamine blocker used to treat and prevent ulcers. It is also used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Possible Tagamet Side Effects Side effects that may go away during treatment, include diarrhea, headache, dizziness, or drowsiness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
General Cautions If your symptoms do not improve within a few weeks or if they become worse, check with your doctor.
