How Long Until Reaching Your Goal Calculator
This calculator estimates how long it will take you to save a specific amount of money. |
To use this calculator:
- In "Starting Deposit," enter how much savings you have now.
- In "Monthly Saving Amount," enter how much you can afford to save every month.
- In "Savings Goal," enter how much you want your savings to become.
- In "Interest Rate," enter the interest rate at which your savings will grow throughout the Saving Period. The rate you choose can range from a risk-free 3 percent for a passbook savings account to a more risky 9 percent for money invested in the stock market. Try two or three rates and see the differences.
- Do not use commas.
