Mortgage Size Calculator
This calculator estimates how large of a mortgage loan you should take out. |
To use this calculator:
- Enter how much you think you can afford per month for your mortgage in "Affordable Monthly Mortgage Payment." It may be helpful to develop your Household Budget before you enter an amount here.
- In "Term," enter the length of the mortgage loan in months. For example, for a 25yr mortgage, enter 300 months. For 20 year, enter 240 months.
- In "Interest Rate," enter the interest rate of the mortgage loan. Enter either the fixed rate, or, if your loan has a variable rate your best estimate of what the overall rate will be over the time you are the borrower.
- Do not use commas.
